THE ZEAL OF THE LORD

What does “The zeal of the Lord” mean?

In curiosity to know what it means, I ran a search for “zeal of the Lord” and was presented with three results:
2Kings 19vs31 (KJV)
For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.
Isa 9vs7 (KJV)
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Isa 37vs32 (KJV)
For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.

All three verses, two of them being the same, used almost the same choice of words: “The zeal of the Lord of hosts will/shall perform this”
Going further, I looked the verses up in The Living Bible translation and got three different parts/components of what the zeal of the Lord means.

2 Kings 19:31
A remnant of my people shall become strong in Jerusalem. The Lord is eager to cause this to happen.
Isa 37:32
For a remnant shall go out from Jerusalem to repopulate the land; the power of the Lord Almighty will cause all this to come to pass.
Isa 9:7
His ever-expanding, peaceful government will never end. He will rule with perfect fairness and justice from the throne of his father David. He will bring true justice and peace to all the nations of the world. This is going to happen because the Lord of heaven’s armies has dedicated himself to do it!

In other words, the zeal of the Lord means and has the following components:
His eagerness to cause things to happen
His mighty power to cause things to happen
His dedication to cause things to happen

What does this mean to us?
This is leverage for us. When we have heard his Word concerning our lives, we throw ourselves into prayers, taking His Word to Him and declaring that His zeal (Dedication to his Word, eagerness to do it and His mighty power available to bring it to pass) will perform it.

Folks, it will happen!
